# How We Calculate Your Usage

Want to know how MileApp counts what you use? This guide explains it in simple terms.

  <strong style={{color: "rgb(47, 79, 181)"}}>Not all plans include the same billing structure.</strong> Usage-based billing varies depending on your subscription:

  If you're on a <strong style={{color: "rgb(47, 79, 181)"}}>Free</strong> or <strong style={{color: "rgb(47, 79, 181)"}}>Pro</strong> plan, visit usage typically does not affect your billing. For Enterprise plans or custom contract agreements, both task and visit usage may be calculated.

## Two Things We Count

MileApp counts two things that affect your monthly bill:

| What We Count | Simple Explanation                                          |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Visits**    | Every delivery address or stop you add when planning routes |
| **Tasks**     | Every job or work order you create for your team            |

## How Your Monthly Limit Works

Think of it like a phone plan with data:

* **You get a monthly limit** - For example, 1,000 visits per month
* **We count as you go** - Every time you plan routes, we add up the stops
* **It resets each month** - Your count goes back to zero when your new month starts
* **Going over?** - Depending on your plan, you might pay extra or need to upgrade

  Your "month" starts from the day you signed up, not the 1st of the calendar month.

  <strong style={{color: "rgb(47, 79, 181)"}}>Example:</strong> If you signed up on January 15th, your month runs from the 15th to the 14th.

## How to Check What You've Used

1. Click **Billing** in the menu
2. Go to **Subscription**
3. You'll see how much you've used and how much is left

## What Happens If I Use More Than My Limit?

This depends on your plan:

* **Free Plan** - You'll need to wait until next month or upgrade
* **Paid Plans** - You can keep going, and we'll add the extra to your next bill
